IP CEF Load balancing + RTP(TCP/IP) header compression ...
by Yury Yaroshevsky 15 Mar '05

-- YY18-RIPE =================================================================== uanog mailing list. ETHCNTR-3-HALF_DUX_COLLISION_EXCEED_THRESHOLD
by Maxim Tuliuk 15 Mar '05

Вчера порт на catalyst 2950 переключился в состояние err-disable с сообщениями в syslog: Mar 14 09:24:13.957 EET: %ETHCNTR-3-HALF_DUX_COLLISION_EXCEED_THRESHOLD: Half-duplex loopback detected, collision threshold exceeded on FastEthernet0/5. Mar 14 09:24:13.957 EET: %PM-4-ERR_DISABLE: loopback error detected on Fa0/5, putting Fa0/5 in err-disable state Mar 14 09:24:14.957 EET: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface FastEthernet0/5, changed state to down Mar 14 09:24:15.961 EET: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface FastEthernet0/5, changed state to down на cisco.com: ETHCNTR Messages This section contains the Ethernet controller messages. These messages are a result of a failure of the switch software when trying to program the hardware. Most of these errors lead to incorrect switch behavior, and you should call your Cisco technical support representative. Error Message ETHCNTR-3-HALF_DUX_COLLISION_EXCEED_THRESHOLD: Collision at [chars] exceed threshold. Consider as loop-back. Explanation This message means that the collisions at a half-duplex port exceeded the threshold, and the port is considered as a loopback. [chars] is the port where the threshold was exceeded. Recommended Action No action is required. The port goes into error-disabled mode until the problem is resolved. -- Maxim Tuliuk WWW: http://primats.org.ua/~mt/ ICQ: 21134222 The bike is absolute freedom of moving =================================================================== uanog mailing list. what the e2fsck'ing?
by Vladimir Litovka (vlitovka) 15 Mar '05

Hi, я брежу?! - FastEthernet3/0/0 is up, line protocol is up Internet address is A.A.A.A/24 [ ... ] Outgoing access list is fw-out #sh ip access-lists fw-out Extended IP access list fw-out permit icmp host A.A.A.A any log permit ip any any попытка трейсраутить с этого маршрутизатора на внешний мир никак не отражается ни в matches команды show, ни в логах. CEF. Same shit, different day... Any comments? /doka > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-uanog-outgoing(a)uanog.kiev.ua > [mailto:owner-uanog-outgoing@uanog.kiev.ua] On Behalf Of Maks > Nefedchenko > Sent: Monday, March 14, 2005 3:32 PM > To: uanog(a)uanog.kiev.ua > Subject: [uanog] Re: what the e2fsck'ing? > > > Привет! > > Вроде как и недолжны попрадать под output acl пакеты, > порожденные роутером. > > > P.S.: Гмм.
